When it was founded in Tokyo in 2005, Call And Response Records' plan was to put out 100 releases and then stop. "Call And Response is Half Dead - Well Done -" was released as part of a zine-and-double-CD celebrating the half-way point of the label's death drive and features twelve tracks from CAR's first 50 releases, with artists on the label picking their favourite tracks by labelmates.

With a core sound of deviant punk and oddball lo-fi pop/new wave, "Well Done" offers an introduction to Call And Response's particular window on the Japanese indie and underground scene as selected by the community itself.

The full zine + 2xCD also includes an exclusive second disc with the subtitle of "Rare", featuring new recordings, solo tracks and rarities.
